WHY SHOULD I MEDITATE

Improve my mental, emotional, physical and spiritual health.

Meditation helps to create a balance within ourselves. Through meditation we can decrease reactivity to our internal and external environment. We have the ability to reduce heightened emotions, negative physical sensations and racing thoughts that occur by just observing our own internal body sensations or our breath or a combination of the two. Meditations can be used on a regular basis to reduce critical or judgmental mindsets about ourselves, other people, life situations and events that happen around us.

Everything in our life is impermanent. Practice letting go of all your worries. Enjoy feeling good.

One main aim of meditation is to realise that everything within our inner and outer environment is impermanent and to accept what is right now in a neutral manner. When we realise the impermanency of our emotions, thoughts, physical sensations, events, situation, and others around us we begin to realise the things within our inner and outer environment come and go but never stay as they are. By focusing on what is happening in the here and now we are not focused on negative situations that occur within our life. We are able to view our world in a more balanced manner, we react less to our environment, and are more able to react in a balanced mindset. In this way, our level of happiness, inner balance, peace and tranquility increase. We effectively have the ability to reduce reactivity to our environment and live in a harmonious manner.

Choose how you want to live your life!!!

It is up to us to choose how we would like to live our lives. We have the choice to create an inner calm or to remain reactive to our inner and outer environment.

The good news is the effects of mediation within our bodies does not have to be in extensive sessions of large blocks of eleven hours to achieve a significantly large effect. Our bodies and minds also respond to smaller sessions over time. For anyone that has experienced emotional, mental, physical or spiritual difficulties, it may be best to meditate in blocks of time, to improve your ability to reduce and manage any emotional, mental, physical or spiritual difficulties within your life.

Meditation is an activity that you can do anywhere at anytime without the need to buy any expensive resources. You can find a nice cosy corner of a couch, a specialized meditation cushion, a comfortable seat in a garden or park, or you may wish to meditate in a rainforest or near a stream. It is always nice to have a blanket or a wrap to make sure that you are have the ability to wrap yourself in a cosy wrap just in case you begin to feel cool.
